Get teachy, not techie.

Please indulge me as I shamelessly plug my new e-learning package. It was fun to develop and I want you to have it. But first! Stuff that has been preoccupying me: R.I.P., Ursula the Houdini Octopus.  Worst use of Comic Sans.  A nice place to bioluminesce.  Great radio. And my favourite Patti Smith quote:

“I wasn’t rebellious. I just had my way.”

Do you offer online courses**? Want to create beautiful, effective lead pages and a fully automated course delivery system that will help you reach more people with your brilliant offerings?

This spiffy package is for solopreneurs who want to do the teaching, not the ‘tech’-ing.  Talk to me about my sweet new e-course development package, and let me take care of all the technical aspects of setting up online courses — so you can get on with coming up with fantastic content.

Together with my  co-conspirator— the savvy programmer and CMS developer Angela Waddington—I have put together a seamless system that handles everything from enrolment to online sales to automated, drip fed content. We navigated some hairpin learning curves (note: despite many claims out there, there is no off-the-shelf product that can integrate all the functions—and fanciness— you need to deliver an outstanding e-learning course). We’re pretty chuffed to have developed a flexible and creative solution that can be tailored to your particular needs — starting at the rather amazingly low price of $399.

Ready to share your smarts and grow your income? Contact me to get a sneak peek at my rockin’ e-learning management system!!

The wonderful people of the Salt Spring Refugee Sponsorship Group are raising funds to help resettle a Syrian refugee family on Salt Spring. Tara McLean is crowdfunding for an epic fundraising hike through Europe, and Mardon Dary of Pura Vida Spa is hosting a day of massage by donation to help Tara reach her goal of $5000 (more details in the next newsletter!).  Donate here: https://www.gofundme.com/roundthemountain

If you have not seen This Changes Everything, the movie version of Naomi Klein’s latest book, come see it on Salt Spring November 18th. I’m especially stoked for the screening because the film tells the story of Crystal Lameman, of the Beaver Lake Cree. This tiny nation are taking on the tar sands with what could be the most significant trial in Canada’s history. The movie is a powerful call to action leading up to the Paris climate talks: someone from RAVEN Trust (ok, actually, me) will be on hand to collect donations and share more information about the Beaver Lake Cree’s courageous and kick-ass commitment to take on Big Oil. Come, enjoy a movie that is winning awards all over the place, and make a contribution to the Tarsands Trial (if you can).  At 7:30 pm at Artspring.

Hope your hatches are battened down low and your covers are pulled up high on this stormy November weekend.

“Do not be angry with the rain; it simply does not know how to fall upwards.”

― Vladimir Nabokov
