New Year’s non-resolutions

germany7Some things I did this year that I’m happy I did:

This is a little listsicle -thing that was actually fun to do! Highly recommended as an alternative to setting “should-could-gotta-might-won’t” new years resolution death spiral.

Here goes: THINGS I DID THIS YEAR THAT I’M GLAD ABOUT…

• grew my yoga. I got sneakily, subversively into yoga because 1. I was working with yoga studios as part of the Pull Together campaign and 2. there is a yoga studio ON MY STREET. It started with the once a week routine and now I have stretched all the way up to a daily practice. Thank you Sarah Jane & The Nest Hot Yoga.

• bought an electric car. I got rear-ended on the highway & the payout was enough put a down-payment on a Nissan Leaf. What I used to spend on gas goes to make the car payment; this was not only the most affordable option but .. hello, no pipelines/no tankers/no problem. Now I can sport my favourite bumper sticker with pride.

• bought Frazey Ford’s new album “Indian Ocean”. If it were vinyl I’d be wearing it out. Favourite biking soundtrack.

• went to see One Man Lord of the Rings. Seriously: a guy able to re-enact battle scenes complete with sound effects, totally solo? Respect.

• organized my offerings into sweet packages. Now people can easily differentiate between my design offerings, my website work, and my once-elusive-now-crystal-clear social media management services.

• dug my Attuned Moon Cycle Tarot Deck out of my basement and put it back up on Etsy. Seriously, my basement is no place for art to live.

• wrote this with some help from the brilliant Caityn Vernon:http://andreapalframan.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=908&action=edit

• started this newsletter! It’s nice to connect with you… so, I’m going to keep doing it… thanks for reading ( :

Not to rub it in but RUB A DUB I am heading to Nicaragua in less than 10 days to participate in a Moksha Yoga Teacher Training course. I don’t really know why I am going— yet— but, between side trips to two islands (first Ometepe, then Little Corn) I will be bending and stretching with 60 other nice people in the juicy sun. So: the newsletters will be a bit skimpier during this period and they may contain images of tropical beauty so, you know, if you are stuck in the frozen north, this is your trigger warning.

I love you all more than words can express. I hope you feel a whole lot, have the supportive people in your life that you deserve, and get struck by wild creative inspiration at least once a week.

Abrazos mi amigas and grassy-ass for being part of a fun 2015.
xoxo Andrea
